  • Tuesday, November 3 - ELECTION DAY!  Vote! Remind your friends and family to vote!

  • November 10, 2020  - Book club is meeting Tuesday, on Zoom at 10:00 a.m. and we’ll be discussing The Women of the Copper Country, by Mary Doria Russell. It’s a historical novel set on the Keweenaw Peninsula in 1913.  Annie Clements, “America’s Joan of Arc,” started a rebellion by leading a strike against the largest copper mining company in the world. The author is noted for her meticulous research, fine prose, and compelling narrative drive; her novels, critically acclaimed as well as commercial successes, are studied in literature, theology and history courses.  The discussion is open to all.  Please contact Donna Mullins to be added to the Zoom List.

  • November 18, 12 noon - POST-ELECTION WRAP-UP 2020.  FROM POLLS TO PROSE.  The Post-Election Wrap-Up is a traditional event taking place every two years after an election. This Post-Election Wrap-Up follows the nation's Nov. 3, 2020 presidential election. Our 2020 speakers represent pollsters and the prose that fills our daily news before, during and after an election.   • November 20, 2020, 11 a.m. - Press Conference/Livestream Event, Conversation with Michigan Election Law Experts: The Role of the Board of State Canvassers.
    A panel of leading Michigan election law experts will present a discussion and media Q&A session at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 20 on the role of the Michigan Board of State Canvassers, ahead of its meeting on Monday, Nov. 23 to certify the results of the 2020 General Election.
